Unknown Mozart’s aria on Jasna Góra
On the nearest Saturday Częstochowa will be a place of worldwide premiere performance of compositions signed by Master’s name. The scores found in the Monastery’s archive of Jasna Góra will be performed by Morphing Vienna Chamber Orchestra under Tomasz Weibnic’s leadership.
As part of propagating musical collections of the Monastery, among others such unique specimen as aria for soprano and clarinet - Jesu Dulcis Memoria, signed by Mozart’s name will be performed. Unusual concert starts on the 6th of December, at 6 p.m. Apart from aria, which was placed on the forthcoming album of the ensemble, the program includes also Partita for wind instruments, which was found in Monastery’s collections, and also compositions of the other, unknown so far compositors from Jasna Góra. The event will be recorded and later broadcasted by Polish Public Television. The performance will be honored by presence of Luiza Albrechtova, a soprano from Prague, and a clarinetist Jarosław Podsiadlik.
18 scores signed by Mozart’s name were found in the collections of Jasna Góra. First contemporary performance underwent the Aria Jesu Dulcis Memoria, the premiere performance of which was a part of Gaude Mater Festiwal. During that Festival, Morphing Vienna Chamber Orchestra, ensemble gathering outstanding musicians from all over the world, gave a concert, which stunned the while musical world. It was possible thanks to cooperation with Tomasz Wabnica from Częstochowa, and the circle of musicologists examining the collections of Jasna Góra.
